YouTube supports video uploads to your connected channel, as regular videos or Shorts.

Post types

Type	API value	What it publishes
Video	video	One video with a title and description. Vertical videos appear as Shorts.

Media requirements

• Formats: MP4, MOV, AVI, WMV, FLV, WebM. MP4 with H.264 video and AAC audio is recommended.
• File size: up to 256 GB.
• Duration: up to 12 hours. Channels that aren't verified are limited to 15 minutes.
• Aspect ratio: 16:9 for regular videos, 9:16 for Shorts.

Text limits

• Title (title): required, up to 100 characters.
• Description (description): up to 5,000 characters.

Extra options
