LinkedIn supports text, images, videos, and albums, published to your personal account or to an organization you administer.

Post types

Type	API value	What it publishes
Text	text	A text-only post.
Image	image	One image with a caption.
Video	video	One video with a caption.
Album	album	2 to 10 images with a caption. Videos can't be mixed in.

Media requirements

Images

• Formats: JPG, PNG, GIF (including animated GIFs).
• File size: up to 5 MB per image.
• Recommended sizes: 1080 × 1080 px (square), 1200 × 627 px (landscape), 1080 × 1350 px (portrait).

Videos

• Formats: MP4, MOV. MP4 with H.264 video and AAC audio is recommended.
• File size: up to 5 GB.
• Duration: 3 seconds to 15 minutes.
• Aspect ratio: between 1:2.4 and 2.4:1. 1:1 and 16:9 are recommended.
• Frame rate: 30 fps recommended.

Text limits

• Caption (description): up to 3,000 characters, including hashtags and @mentions.
